On October 11, 1996, Floyd Mayweather made his professional boxing debut in Las Vegas at Texas Station Casino by defeating Roberto Apodaca via a second round TKO. Mayweather, known as “Pretty Boy” way back before his “Money” days, was fresh off of earning a bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
